Velho

Old-Velho (fi:Vanha-Velho and nl:Oud-Velho) is a slum and former financial district of New-Velho which got distroyed as a result of the Velho-Halvertian war

Prior to the Velho-Halvertian War, Old-Velho served as a prominent financial district within Nieuw-Velho. However, subsequent to the conflict, it devolved into an impoverished urban area characterized by significant infrastructural decay and socioeconomic challenges. The Velho-Halvertian War itself inflicted extensive damage upon numerous districts of the city, including Old-Velho, contributing to its decline from a center of commerce to a zone of deprivation. Furthermore, the war's conclusion marked the dissolution of the Halvert Republic, a significant geopolitical event that profoundly impacted the region and likely contributed to the altered status and diminished economic activity within Old-Velho. The once-vibrant financial institutions and commercial enterprises that defined Old-Velho were either destroyed or relocated in the aftermath of the war, leaving behind a district struggling with the consequences of conflict and political upheaval.
