History

The company was founded in 1923 by Petonar Halventi, following the dissolution of the Poshin Empire. Initially, the company focused on the production of light bulbs and household appliances, quickly establishing itself as a leader in electrical goods. However, in 1946, the company achieved a significant milestone with the creation of the "EElektronikka SähköRadio," the first commercially produced radio in the region, marking its entry into the emerging field of mass communication technology.

Building on this success, in 1950, EElektronikka ventured into the television industry, launching its first-ever television set under the "SähköTel" brand. This innovation was another pivotal moment in the company’s history, as it solidified its position as a key player in the electronics market. In 1968, EElektronikka reached another groundbreaking achievement by producing the first-ever color television, a technological advancement that would shape the future of home entertainment and further cement the company’s legacy in the global electronics industry.
