Velhon Televisionne was established on January 1st, 1951, following the development of the first Velhon television set by Eteenpäin Elektroniikka. The organization transitioned to color broadcasting in 1969. Subsequently, in 1989, Velhon Televisionne became part of the Knapervision group as a result of the unification of Knaperland. In 2005, a major rebranding initiative by Knapervision led to the renaming of Velhon Televisionne to Velho TV4.
