Initially under the dominion of the Knaper Empire, the territory was subject to invasion by the [[Poshin Empire]] in 1877. Following this occupation, the region achieved independence in 1929, leading to the establishment of the Free Republic of Dinglematch. This independent entity existed until 1962, when it entered into a unification with the [[Republic of Velho]], which subsequently unified with [[Knaperland]]. In 1998, a geographical transformation occurred, altering the territory's status from an island to a Peninsula.
