Velhon Televisionne was established on January 1st, 1951, following the development of the first Velhon television set by [[Eteenpäin Elektroniikka]]. The Channel transitioned to color broadcasting in 1969. Subsequently, in 1989, Velhon Televisionne became part of the [[Knapervision Group|Knapervision group]] as a result of the unification of Knaperland. In 2005, a major rebranding initiative by Knapervision led to the renaming of Velhon Televisionne to Velho TV4.
